Owner and Main DJ
DJ Marvin Banks is a true student of the culture — a Chicago‑bred House Music DJ, entrepreneur, and radio visionary whose journey spans more than 18 years behind the decks and over 14 years as a respected station owner. His story begins on the West Side of Chicago, where the pulse of House music, the rhythm of the streets, and the energy of the city shaped his identity long before he ever touched a turntable.
From day one, Marvin was drawn to the sound — the deep grooves, the soulful vocals, the hypnotic rhythms that defined Chicago’s House scene. What started as a passion quickly became a calling. As he grew into his craft, Marvin developed a reputation for his clean transitions, his ear for timeless tracks, and his ability to move a crowd with intention, not just volume.
Years later, Marvin relocated to Rochester, Minnesota, but he never left Chicago behind. His roots, his connections, and his musical DNA remain tied to the city that raised him. Even from Minnesota, he continues to collaborate with DJs, promoters, and creators across Chicago and surrounding cities, keeping the culture alive no matter where he resides.
Marvin’s impact extends far beyond the DJ booth. As the founder of Banks LLC, he stepped into the world of broadcasting and digital media with a vision: build platforms that uplift DJs, creators, and communities through music. That vision led him to launch his first stations — Minnesota Hott Radio and Miami Hott Radio — two early ventures that helped him understand the power of online radio long before it became mainstream.
His journey continued when he joined WJRRadio and WereJusRapRadio, both part of the RadioMGA.com network at the time. Marvin’s leadership, consistency, and programming instincts quickly elevated him within the organization, eventually earning him the role of President of RadioMGA.com. Under his guidance, the network expanded its reach, sharpened its identity, and strengthened its presence in the online radio landscape.
After several successful years, Marvin made the decision to branch out and build something of his own — a station that reflected his sound, his culture, and his vision. That station became Z100TheBeat.com, a name originally given by the owner of RadioMGA.com but carried, protected, and elevated by Marvin ever since. He has held the title for numerous years, shaping Z100 The Beat into a respected platform for House Music, Hip‑Hop, R&B, Throwbacks, and Old School Urban sound.
Today, DJ Marvin Banks stands as a seasoned DJ, a dedicated entrepreneur, and a builder of platforms that amplify real music and real culture. Whether he’s spinning a deep House set, curating station programming, or expanding the reach of Banks LLC, Marvin remains committed to one thing:
keeping the music authentic, the culture respected, and the legacy alive.

DJ SHINDIGG —
OFFICIAL BIO
DJ ShinDigg’s journey into music began in 1983, when he first discovered the power of rhythm, vinyl, and the underground sound that would later define his career. In 1985, at just fifteen years old, his parents bought him his first pair of Technics SLB‑100 turntables — the moment that transformed curiosity into passion and passion into purpose.
A musician, producer, DJ, and lifelong House music enthusiast, DJ ShinDigg hails from Maywood, Illinois. When he’s not performing, he’s in the studio crafting original tracks, refining mixes, and pushing his sound forward. Over the years, he has played in countless local nightclubs, shared the booth with respected hometown heavy-hitters, DJ’d special events, and built a presence through his own YouTube shows.
With decades behind the decks, DJ ShinDigg has shaped a style that’s unmistakably his own. For him, it’s all about mood, movement, and a deep hypnotic groove. He gravitates toward tracks that make you tap your feet, nod your head, and drift into the rhythm without even realizing it — regardless of genre, tempo, or style.
Don’t be surprised when you suddenly find yourself dancing. That’s the ShinDigg effect.
